TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Welcome to ProTech Guitar Setups! By using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities. By booking an appointment through Calendly, approving a quote, or submitting an instrument for service, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1.

Scope of Services

ProTech Guitar Setups provides professional guitar repair, restoration, setup, and customization services for electric, acoustic, and bass guitars. We also offer minor repair for both amps and pedals. Pedal programming is also available. Inspection, diagnostics, and setup services are performed based on the condition of the gear (instrument, amp, pedal) at the time of service. Certain issues may not be discoverable until the gear (instrument, amp, pedal) is fully evaluated or disassembled. If additional work is required beyond the original scope, the customer will be notified before proceeding.

We do not offer full instrument refinishing unless agreed upon in advance.

2.

Booking and Payment

All services are by appointment only. All appointments are scheduled through our online booking system. Customers must select the appropriate appointment type (gear drop-off or gear pickup). Appointments are required for both drop-off and pickup to ensure availability.

Invoices and quotes are issued through InvoiceNinja. Approval of a quote constitutes authorization to proceed with the outlined services.

Failure to arrive for a scheduled appointment without notice may result in delayed turnaround or rescheduling.

Payment is due in full upon completion of service.

Accepted Payment Methods:

  • Cash

  • Credit/Debit Cards

  • PayPal

  • Cash App

  • Venmo

We do not currently require deposits for any services.

3.

Parts and Materials

Service pricing is primarily labor-based. When parts are required, they may be bundled into the total service charge rather than listed separately. In some cases, specific parts may be itemized or quoted individually.

Once parts are ordered, they are non-refundable. Estimated delivery times will be communicated in advance, and delays caused by suppliers or shipping carriers are outside our control.

4.

Turnaround Time

Most services are completed within 1 week. Turnaround may vary depending on the type of service and current workload. Turnaround time begins once the instrument is dropped off and any required parts have been received. Missed pickup appointments or delayed approvals may extend turnaround time.

Rush service may be available upon request and is subject to an additional fee.

5.

Warranty and Guarantee

We stand behind our work with a 30-day warranty on labor from the date of service.

This warranty covers only the workmanship provided. It does not apply to:

  • Issues unrelated to the work performed

  • Damage from misuse or accidents after service

  • Wear and tear or modifications made after the service

  • Personal preference or playing style changes after service

Please contact us within the warranty period if you experience any issues so we can address them promptly.

6.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information about the instrument’s condition

  • Removing all personal items such as straps, cases, and accessories

  • Notifying us of any known issues prior to service

  • Communicating preferred tuning, string gauge, and playing style prior to service

7.

Uncollected Instruments

Instruments not picked up within 60 days of service completion may be subject to storage fees. After 60 days, uncollected instruments may be considered abandoned and handled at our discretion, in accordance with Florida law. Reasonable attempts will be made to contact the customer prior to any abandonment determination.

8.

We take every precaution to handle your instrument with care. However, ProTech Guitar Setups is not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage or issues

  • Damage resulting from undisclosed problems

Media Use Consent

Strings Provided with Setup Services

All 6-string setup services include a fresh set of strings if you choose for me to supply them. The cost of these strings is included in the total service charge for standard 6-string electric guitars and 6-string acoustic guitars.

For 12-string acoustic guitars, bass guitars (4-, 5-, and 6-string), or heavy gauge or specialty strings, the cost of strings will be added to the setup service charge.

If you prefer to provide your own strings, the setup service price remains the same without any additional string cost.

These string options reflect the standard choices I trust for playability, durability, and tone.

String brand and gauge are selected at the technician's discretion unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Rob Baggett

I’ve been playing guitar since I was 7 years old—and now, over 45 years later, I’m still just as passionate about music and gear as ever. I’ve played in countless cover bands, shared the stage at Daytona’s Bike Week on the Jägermeister stage, and spent a lifetime chasing tone. Even though it’s been a while since I gigged publicly, I still pick up a guitar almost every day.

My collection includes a few Les Pauls of course. In the shop, I use and work with a wide range of gear—from vintage analog pedals to modern digital processors. I’m well-versed in Boss products and other multi-effects units, both for tone shaping and practical gig use. I also bring years of experience in live sound engineering, having worked with everything from mid-grade PA systems to full pro series rigs—ideal for local cover bands, small venue shows, and VIP private events.

Beyond guitar work, I’ve also been a live sound engineer since 1996, supporting local cover bands and conventions. I run a full JBL Professional Series  sound system for live events, VIP parties, and bar gigs—helping others sound their best is just as rewarding as playing.

Whether you’re new to guitar or a seasoned pro, I’ll make sure your instrument feels and plays just right.

Let’s get your gear sounding great.

– Rob
